Things to do in Camarillo CA

Leisure Village is located in the city of Camarillo in Southern California. Along with all of the amazing activities and events that Leisure Village offers, there are many other activities and fun things to do in Camarillo CA.

Camarillo Ranch House – The historical Camarillo Ranch was once owned by notable Camarillo landowner and prominent businessman, Adolfo Camarillo, and is now a nationally registered historic landmark owned by the City of Camarillo and managed by the Camarillo Ranch Foundation. The product of a romantic gesture, the turn-of-the-century Queen Anne-style Mansion was built in 1892 by Adolfo for his new bride Isabel. The splendid heritage structure and its remaining 4.5 acres have been lovingly restored by the Camarillo Ranch Foundation, and today visitors can tour the ranch’s original barn and stables, stroll through the beautiful gardens, and explore the Camarillo Ranch House expertly reconstructed as a living museum. Your own friends and family can enjoy the same diversions when they attend special gatherings here. (201 Camarillo Ranch Road)

Pleasant Valley Botanical Garden – The garden has been described as a “hidden gem” in Pleasant Valley. The cycles of native plants. flowers and trees make the garden appealing in every season. Plants are identified with signage. It has been designated as an urban bee lab for UC-Berkeley. Monarch butterflies thrive on the numerous wild tropical milkweed plants.
Visitors find the area relaxing just to sit, eat lunch, or watch the monarchs float over the garden. Beautifully set in the middle of the garden, the 27’ Amish Gazebo can be reserved by members for small meetings or weddings. The garden is open during regular museum hours or by reservation.
